Morag Perkins is a Glasgow-based photographer, who specialises in creative and experimental still-life photography. Completely self-taught, she has been interested in photography for around 6 years now, and uses a combination of film and digital photography to create distinctive and unusual effects. One of her favourite techniques is to freeze objects like wildflowers, Christmas decorations, or even exposed strips of film into ice to create interesting textures and distortions. The concepts behind her photographs are often carefully planned, but some element will be left to nature, whether that is cracks and bubbles in a block of ice, how a strip of film curls around itself, or even simply the light changing outside the window.
We currently stock a small range of Morag’s cards and hope to stock some prints from 2018. To visit her Facebook page click here.
