Eleanor Amy Honeyborne lives in the beautiful Cairngorm National Park, surround by lochs, forest & wildlife. The changeable weather creates dramatic landscapes that feed an Artist’s soul, perfect for painting expressive skies & water scenes.
Many of Eleanor’s pieces use vibrant colours; she enjoys painting autumn scenes, sunsets & lochs. Her medium does vary but she mainly uses Acrylic paint – it dries quickly thus creating a layering system, so it works with her style. Mixed media is also a strong favourite, great for creating depth within her work. Her landscapes tend to be quite expressive so the viewer can add their own vision within the painting, suggestions rather than a detailed account. Eleanor also works the other way too, where her work will show every single branch or each petal of many flowers. Each project she creates generally has several pieces, showing different aspects of what she wants to portray.
Her work can be seen around the Cairngorm National Park and especially in Loch an Eilein art Gallery on the Rothiemurchus estate. Commissions are always welcome.
As well as painting she also makes jewellery with semi-precious stones or brightly coloured beads, delicate pieces from earrings to necklaces and is always happy to be commissioned for a piece for a special occasion.
