Glass Artist Agnes MacLean lives and works in Cambuslang. After 30 years working in industry she went to college to study art. While studying Applied Art, she was introduced to glass and the next 2 years were spent studying art glass. She has decided to specialise in copper foil work.
Her inspiration comes from nature, her Scottish heritage and her garden. Once she has created a design she chooses the colours and textures of the glass to complement each piece. The designs are created by cutting glass, smoothing the edges by grinding the glass then surrounding them in copper foil and soldering the pieces together.
